Six Months Old!

Matthew has hit so many milestones in the last month. He is sitting up, eating solids, drinking from a sippy cup, crawling and climbing just to name a few. He's nearly pulling himself to standing so we had to drop his crib down before he decided to take a nose dive right out of it. His personality is developing so much and he is just a ton of fun.

World's Best Husband!

I'm a lucky gal. Sometimes I take him for granted but I took this picture as a constant reminder how blessed I am to have a guy who works hard in all aspects of his life and isn't afraid to help a gal out around the house!

Relaxation in the Mountains

We took a few days to go up to Big Bear before Tony starts the Academy at the end of the week. Tony had been nervous, stressed and just in need of some quiet. The trip did just the trick. It was over 30 degrees cooler up there than it was in Temecula and we even had afternoon thunderstorms! We went for walks, spent time outdoors and just decompressed in the fresh mountain air. Great trip!

Farewell Antonio

We took our nephew Antonio out to dinner this evening to wish him farewell as he is off to college. We are very proud that he has been given a baseball scholarship at Temple University in Philadelphia. This is a great opportunity for him and we'll be cheering for him in everyway we can from So Cal. We had a great dinner and it was nice to spend a few hours with him...not that I remembered my camera.

A Visit From an Old Friend

My friend from high school, Christy Horne (formerly known as Carpenter) came to visit us on an unexpected trip to California from her home in Kentucky. I was very excited to see her and to have her meet my family. It was alot of fun to catch up and just hang out for a few hours. We can't wait until she comes back again!

Is she 29 or is she 30? No one really knows so we'll get her for being 30 this year and next year to be sure. So to one of the best friends a gal can ever wish for- here's to a great year with great expectations on the way!
