Autumn in the Mountains

Matty and Jen went to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Big Bear this week. Matty made all sorts of new discoveries during the trip and totally destroyed the house. He found Grandma's tupperware drawer and loved playing with Grandma's mixing bowls and big spoons. We took walks in the woods and had a yummy roast beef dinner with the whole family (Troy, Mikey and Amber came over). Matty is so close to having his first teeth breakthough...he didn't sleep so well but he did have a lot of fun. Grandma fed him some mashed potatoes and he LOVED them. Grandma also made a yummy pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting and Grandpa gave Matty a few bites of frosting. That was his introduction to refined sugar- he was bouncing off the walls after that. As cute as it was, he won't be eating sugar again for awhile. The weather was cool and crisp but with blue skies and sunshine. Can't wait to get back to the fresh air!

Pumpkin Picking

We took Matty to the Pumpkin Patch at Bate's Nut Farm (affectionaltely known by my VC hoodrats as Nate's Butt Farm) today so we could get our pumpkins and do a little shopping at the General Store (Grandma Debbie is jonesing for some of their Green Salsa). Matty had a great time crawling around in the grass amongst the pumpkins. Today finally felt like fall with crisp weather- we actually were able to wear jeans and sweaters!

Our nephew Antonio, who is attending college back east, is turning 20 today. Can't believe we have a nephew that's 20....

Visiting Grandpa!

Mommy and Matty went to visit Grandpa St Nick, Auntie Sylvia and Cousins Trinity and Rickey. Matty loves to play with his cousins, he's mesmerized by everything they do. He's definitely Grandpa's boy, too. We went to lunch at Souplantation and it was yummy!

Matty Loves the Chargers!

Besides going to mass each week, Sundays are all about Charger football! Matty and Daddy (and sometimes Mommy) don their Charger gear and root for their favorite team (even though they are off to rough start so far). Nonetheless, we are true fans through thick and thin!

Three Years Already!!!!

Wow, its hard to believe that its been three years since we were married (and this weekend it will be 7 years since we started dating). We've had a great time and everyday is a new adventure. This year, we have a baby and Tony is taking a new career path. We are blessed by God in so many ways. Matthew has a virus so we'll be staying home and having a quiet evening in but I'm glad to be with both my guys. Love you, babe!
